IN-Game Rules

• Do not spam text or spells with noticeable effects or use area effect skills in towns.
• No chats or vending on the streets of Prontera, and do not block NPCs on the sidewalk.
• If you have been found abusing bugs, depending on the severity of the bug you may be banned. Failure to report a bug may also result in a ban.
• No kill stealing and no looting. Dead Branch monsters belong to the player who spawned them (excluding MVPs). If they do not ask for help, do not attack their monster. (Note: This rule is not applied in the Gold Room.
• Items lost in disconnections/server crashes/errors will not be replaced, under any circumstances.
• No not beg for items or zeny. Do not deal, party, ally or guild spam other players. Begging for items will generally result in a 30-50 minute ban.
• No advertising of other private servers will be tolerated on the forums or in game. Action will only be taken in the case of actual advertising - conversation or discussion is permitted.
• No trading accounts, items or Zeny for real money. This will not be tolerated, and you will not be reimbursed if you are scammed.
• Do not have GM or Admin in any part of your name. If you are warned several times, you will be banned.
• Do not make a character with an offensive name that would lead to racism or harassment. Curse words are not allowed. Players who break this rule will be asked to delete their character - if refused, account will be banned.
• Do not do anything that inhibits another player's ability to play - such as dropping items continually in the Gold Room. You will be banned for this offense.
• Do not Ice Wall in WoE entrance maps, or Ice wall prohibiting a player from reaching a destination, NPC, warp, monster, etc. Ice Wall is there for you to shield yourself from monster attack, not for any other purpose.
• Do not abuse the BC (Broadcast). This includes harassment, insult and nonsense talking (for instance revealing your own life).
• Do not ask to be a GM or Sub-GM. If you continue to beg for a position, you will be jailed for one day.
• If you are in the treasure room, you must autoloot. Anyone seen dropping items for any reason will be kicked. If you continually do this, you may be banned.
• No duelling in Prontera for any reason. Other towns are permitted.
• Double Teaming in PvP2 is fine. It is a PK server - meaning no complaints at all. If you report someone because you are being KoSed, etc. (unless it is a bug/hack/etc.), you will be jailed.
• Do not use Dead Branches for the purpose of lagging the map or server. Anyone found doing this will be IP banned.
• If a GM tells you that they do not wish to take on your request, please cease to ask - or you will be muted for 20 minutes. If you continue to beg, you will be jailed for a day. Third offense will result in IP ban without warning.
• Do not drop items in Prontera streets. Ignoring this rule will result in a 20 minute mute (or more), at GM's discretion.
• Do not bring your life drama into the server and start shouting it in public. As a result of ignoring this rule, you will be either banned or jailed depending on severity.
• Do not threaten anyone for any reason, particularly GMs. As a result of breaking this rule, you will be jailed or banned depending on severity.
• Do not impersonate any other player and make them look bad.
• Do not impersonate any GM at all. GM impersonation will result in a permanent ban.

Forum Rules

• Please refrain from pointless name calling and excessive profanity on forums.
• Do not make any unnecessary topics. For threads such as this, use the Off-Topic section.
• Do not flame other posts, unless it is in the Flaming section.
• Please try to limit the size of your signature to a reasonable size - i.e. not excessively scrolling the thread.
• Do not double post. If you lag and accidentally double post, please delete it as soon as possible.
• Do not spread rumours without proof (refer to rule 1).
• Refrain from post spamming. Spam posts will be deleted.
• Do not start new topics within existing topics. If you have a new question, make a new topic.
• Failure to comply with these regulations will result in a temporary or permanent ban depending on the offense.
• Moderators may not insult posters in any way. They must remain calm and unbiased.

Game Master Rules

• You must never give out your password, and ensure that you are the only one with access to your GM account.
• You must not help players to gain an advantage over other players.
• You must not distribute items that were either given to you by Admin or looted from a GM-spawned monster.
• You must enforce the rules and avoid violating them yourself. If it is your first time punishing a user for a specific offense, contact the Admin and let them know what you did.
• Do not run events while others are in progress (e.g. during WoE).
• You must not promise items or services which have not been approved by the Admin.
• If you are away for an extended period please notify the Admin by email or forums.
• You must not do anything that would be considered by the Admin as unethical or bad for the server.
• Be polite to everyone - always remain calm and use appropriate language.
• As a GM, you must be 100% unbiased.
• Your legit characters will gain no benefits from your GM status.
• Do not punish players who break the rules against your legit. Submit a report like all other players are expected to.
• Do not overlook rules for specific players (i.e. friends).
• Legits must stay legit. Any advantage, item, Zeny or information obtained as a GM must stay on that GM.
• Breaking any of these rules is likely to result in a block of both GM and legit account.
• Avoid typos and spelling errors as much as possible in global announcements.
• GMs will not disclose personal information of any other players.
• GMs that threaten to leave the server for any reason will result in GM account suspension and legit account check.
